Renger P. Bierema - Director

In his last role prior to retirement, Mr. Renger Bierema was director of technology for Shell's Gas & Power business.

Previously he was responsible for Shell's North West European downstream gas business. In his first 20 years with Shell, Renger worked in a variety of jobs as construction engineer, chief engineer, project manager in offshore projects, and then became head of worldwide offshore engineering including research and development. Subsequently he was responsible for worldwide refinery and gas plant project development and implementation outside North America. In recent years Renger was a member of the Gas and Power Executive Committee - the committee responsible for Shell's worldwide Gas and Power business - as well as being supervisory Board member of Shell Netherlands and chairman of the supervisory board of the Shell Pension Fund Asset Management Company.

Mr Bierema holds a master's degree in Civil Engineering from The Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands.
