Vaperma Siftek™ Membrane Technology

Vaperma Siftek™ membranes are polymeric hollow fibers that enable  high permeance and selectivity. Hollow fibers have demonstrated stable and high flux in full-scale systems. The high flux from hollow fibers is due to the patented hydrophilic formulation and the thin separation layer.

As illustrated in the video, the permeation of water across the membrane occurs by adsorption of water onto the interior surface of the membrane. Then, diffusion across the membrane and desorption occur at the outer surface of the membrane.
